Who needs it?

An approved haulier carries air cargo and mail that has already been secured, by road, on behalf of regulated agents or known consignors, and keeps it intact until delivery. The status applies to road hauliers, express carriers and dedicated transport providers serving the air cargo industry. Once granted in France, the approval is valid across the European Union and in Switzerland.

Mandatory from January 1, 2027

From January 1, 2027, a haulier without approval will no longer be able to handle secure air cargo. Applications are already open, so it pays to start early. Only regulated agents and known consignors will still be able to carry it themselves, with their own resources.
